Oscar Smith linebacker Keshon Artis is quietly building a nice list of options when it comes to his college recruitment. He’s 5-11.5 and 219 pounds (according to Nike), and Artis is getting a lot of attention.
A little more than a week ago, Artis picked up a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech. He visited the Hokies on Saturday for their Spring Game, then took the trip down to Charlotte for the Nike Opening Regional on Sunday. On Thursday, he picked up his third scholarship offer, this one from UVA.
He can now boast of holding offers from Maryland, Virginia Tech and Virginia. That’s not slowing him down.
On his Twitter page, Artis has posted his goals for all to see.
– Go undefeated with my team
– Win states
– Finish with 125 tackles
He’s definitely team focused.
While he had a strong showing at the Nike Opening Regional last Sunday, it wasn’t enough to earn him an Opening invite. Those are rare.
You can count on seeing more from Artis this fall, and in the meantime we bet those scholarship offers are going to pile up.
