After taking over as head coach of the Norfolk State Women’s basketball team during the 2015-16 season, Larry Vickers received a new three-year deal the school announced recently.
Vickers, who began his Norfolk State coaching career as an assistant coach with the Men’s program for eight years, took over the Lady Spartans program on June 20, leading the team for the final 11 games of the season.
Following his initial appointment as the team’s permanent head coach on March 8, Vickers was rewarded with the new deal last week. The deal will keep Vickers with the NSU Women’s program through the 2018 season.
