The recruit757 College Prospect Assessment Camp (CPAC) yielded at least 140 players that extended demographics from near and far. Among those in attendance was Denbigh Patriot Keyshawn Chisholm. Chisholm (JR/RB 5-10 160) is no stranger to recruit757 as well as the Peninsula District. The Denbigh product has been in multiple places this off season preparing for a possible starting role this upcoming season including the VTO Camp in Richmond, Virginia a few months ago. Chisholm then made a trip down to North Carolina Central University and then finally made his way out to Bishop Sullivan High School.
“You know it’s always a great atmosphere when I get the opportunity to come to one of these camps. This week I played five games for soccer so I’m not my best out here today. I feel a little bruised but all I’m trying to do is put up the best scores and obtain the best numbers that I can. I don’t want to push too hard because at some point I need to give my body a little time to recover. I can say though there’s a lot of good people out here and there’s a lot of good energy also. Camps like this help my progression because they do a good job getting your name out and allows people to see your potential”, stated Chisholm.
Reports from Chisholm indicated that he definitely felt mediocre prior to heading to Bishop Sullivan High School. The Denbigh Patriot felt up to par prior to the recruit757 CPAC but soccer has really taken an overall toll on him throughout the week leading up. Room for improvement is why Chisholm took the time to make the trip from the Peninsula to the Southside. Improvement has led to more and more college interest throwing itself in the direction of Chisholm. The rising senior wishes to keep that aspect of his recruiting off the radar until said interest manifests more of a substantial weight.
“Schools are definitely starting to reach out to me a little more often nowadays. I’m getting a lot of emails from schools inviting me out to various camps and visit their facilities. I plan on keeping those schools under wrap for a little while until things really start to pick up”, said Chisholm.
Outside of soccer Chisholm, plans to attend more camps and few satellite camps while he’s at it. This is to ensure that he continues to generate more interests from coaches who aspire to contact him in the near future. Look for more to come from Keyshawn Chisholm and the Denbigh Patriots as the off season progresses.
