L.C. Bird rising Senior Outside Linebacker Isaiah Moore is a physical specimen, standing 6’3 and weighs 215 pounds. Isaiah is one of the top prospects in the state for the class of 2017. Not only is he a top athletic prospect but he is a scholar maintaining a remarkable 3.7 grade point average.
Saturday morning, Moore stated: “NC State felt like home to me. I really bonded well with Head Coach Dave Doeren and Defensive Coordinator and LB Coach Dave Huxtable and the entire NC State coaching staff and I will have an
opportunity to play right away”.
Moore continued “I wanted to commit before my senior season so I could focus on my senior season and work towards helping bring a state title back to LC Bird”.
This is an attainable goal with teammates like defensive state player of the year Rayshard Ashby (VA Tech commit) and on offense “the bull” 6’2 240 RB Shedrick McCall (ODU commit) and 2019 DE/TE Hakeem Beamon 6-4 240 pounds (UNC Tarheel offer) who could be one of the biggest recruits in recent history
from L.C. Bird High School.
Moore held offers from Yale, ODU, UTSA, Coastal Carolina, Kent State, Army, JMU,
Richmond, William and Mary, Navy and Nevada before deciding on NC State.
“I was really surprised and excited when I initially received the offer from NC
State. After visiting NC State twice and talking with the coaches,” he stated. “I knew I could see myself there academically and athletically for 4 to 5 years”.
“I narrowed his list down to 6 schools a month ago.” He continued,“this has been an extremely difficult decision, but I feel that I have made the best
decision for me. I would like to thank God for giving me the talent to play football, thank my family for their support, my brother (I play against on
Friday’s) and a special thanks to all the coaches that have helped me through the years.”
