Next week will be a busy time for Norfolk State men’s basketball coach Robert Jones. After wrapping up session two of the Spartans’ youth camp on Friday, August 5, Jones and his staff will begin their annual Green & Gold elite boys camp the same day.
The two-day camp is open to rising 10th-12th grade athletes. Registration is $50 for day campers and $75 for overnight participants. Jones, who has over 15 years of coaching experience, has coached six NBA players and was named one of top up-and-coming recruiters in 2010. Norfolk State has averaged just over 20 wins per season since 2012, third-most among Virginia colleges and universities, behind only VCU and the University of Virginia.
