The name might sound familiar. Older brother Bryce Stukes (JR FS/WR 6-0 170) graduates from Landstown next month and will go on to play college ball at Hampton University. Younger brother Brent Stukes is coming into his senior season and is picking up college scholarship offers.
The Eagles college workout and showcase took place on May 3. Since then, college coaches have followed up, making scholarship offers, and a few of the coaches that missed the showcase have caught up with Landstown head coach Tommy Reamon to express their interest.“He may be the best pure athlete I have had since the Vick Brothers (Marcus and Michael),” said Reamon about the younger Stukes brother. “He is the same caliber of athlete as ex-freshman Tajh Capehart.”
Capehart played his freshman year at Landstown before transferring to Ocean Lakes. At Ocean Lakes, Capehart continued to progress and he now holds somewhere around 20 college scholarship offers.
“With Brent, college coaches see an explosive playmaker that will excel to the top level. He’s a Division I prospect,” the coach stated.
In the two weeks since Landstown’s showcase event, Stukes has gone from no offers to holding offers from Delaware, UMass, Hampton and NC State.
That puts him in good shape to have options when decision time comes, and there’s a strong likelihood of more offers coming.
