Le’Asia Foreman will be a 7th grader next year at Northside Middle School where her affinity for basketball continues to grow.
“All I want to do everyday, all day is play basketball,” said Foreman, who was a participant in the inaugural Hampton Roads Futures Classic this summer.
Foreman plays AAU for Boo Williams Norfolk Xpress team that recently finished in 11th place in the AAU national tournament.
“I play just about every position, but my favorite position to play is the three,” said Foreman.
The rising 7th grader was inspired to play basketball from seeing a lot of other talented professional athletes. “Maya Moore is my favorite player because she’s good in numerous positions, she inspires me to do better,” Foreman added. “Allen Iverson is my favorite because he was born and raised in the 757 and he made it to the NBA.”
Foreman has attended numerous middle school showcases in addition to the Futures Classic. The experience was an eye-opener for Foreman and the rest of her Xpress teammates who also participated.
“One of my favorite things about playing basketball is dribbling and my favorite moves is behind the back,” Foreman said. Foreman like to go by Le’Asia “GotSkills” Foreman.
Make sure you stay tuned to hear more about Foreman and her success on the basketball court. We’ll have more updates from the Hampton Roads Futures Classic this week!
